good morning,
i just emailed richard shelby asking for a bailout for the small businesses. i told him the big 3 made cars i furnished employees with jobs to be able to purchase these cars. i should have said i was profit. i also said i had a plan. they do not. i know there are a lot of small businesses hurting out there and this is starting to tick me off.

i want to go run up some debt and get a new tv and take a cruise so i can get a abilout too. the price of fuel has affected me more than i anticipated, and i am gettng paid "Slower". think i'll cruise to alaska, its got to be warmer there than here right now. might finance one of those new hybrid cars to help the autoakers and my gas bill. would be great to get a bunch of stuff and then not have to pay for it maybe i can get my bathroom re-done, i wlaways wanted one of those jacuzzi tubs in the bathroom and if i put in two thrones there would never be any waiting.

if you took the original 700 billion, added the additional 800 billion they added, we could give every man woman and child in america 487,000. lets try trickle up economics for a change, maybe that will work.

carl, if they file chapt. 11 they will pay it back. they will have longer and a cheaper interest rate. the key is they have to show income. now i worry about the vendors, in other words the people they owe money to. like suppliers. its been all about the employees of the big 3 but it will really hurt their suppliers. nobody has talked about the layoffs of the little people who supply material that goes into these cars. now if later on and they see they can not make it they can file straight bankrupt and all is lost. that is a option they have. its really sad.

carl, sad thing is i do not believe help is warranted, its the unions causing the problems. with so many americans in trouble, i see no reason to supply these unions with money for payroll. that is what it is all about. americans making very little will be paying for those high salaries and retirement benefits. not to mention those union dues.

you know if management rteated labor fairly and honestly there woudlnt be the need for unions, but there are too many carl ichan wanna be's out there trying to screw labor at every turn. its one of the reasons toyota and nissan are so cautios here and mississippi, one false move and uaw will be here. management is generally scum, trying to extract way more out of a business for themselves on the backs of labor, those who actually do the work. okay so why if i work in town, and there is not a shortage now, am i worth 80-100, but when there is an acute shortage every few years when the contracts are up and everyone leaves town, i am suddenyl worth 125 base and 250 o/t? more than triples overnight. i remember when 5-10% was considered a fair return on invetment but people want a whol lot more than that jsut for supplying capitol. with little input into the business other than supplying cash.

its like with the farm, i pay my general fund back for everthing farm related i have bought, out 1/2 of ot or more away fro the next crop, and only then do i get to realize a profit. sometimes its a lot, sometimes its nothing at all. when i get tired of it i will either lease or sell the land.

carl, a long time ago i believe the unions may have been ok. but now most are very corrupt. they put to high demands on companies. they take most of the profit. leaving little for overhead and developement. my great uncle who i loved retired from gm. a very long time ago. he loved that company i can not help but believe if he was here he would have seen all this.
