Carl, I really was trying to say yesterday was that nature is being nature and we are building in it's way. The more we build the more likely bigger cities are going to get hit and more people are going to be hurt. True, it was back in the 50's that since this many has died from tornado but the fact is, it has happen before so nature is just being nature whether it does it every year or every 50 years. And I agree that we are way over due for another hit from a major hurricane, (I have said that every year since 1989). Living in a mobile home I know there is nothing I can do if we are hit by a major hurricane, it is all "the weakest point". I am glad that you and other like you take precautions so that if one hits, there will be less damage(hopefully). When I was growing up we was always told to open a window toward the east in a storm, in case of a tornado so pressure would not build up in the house, now was anyone else taught that??
