I guess squirrel could be re train to predict ice storms etc. Dem, my favorite you didn't say anything about. Woods, I love hiking in the woods. I could spend the day just walking around in the woods. Well, while Ice Storms look beautiful on the trees, and the buildings, they are really a nightmare for those of us living through them. They cause mass storm outages, lots of deaths to the elderly from freezing in their homes waiting on power to be restored. They shut down roads for days due to trying to remove power lines from highways. I must admit, it's beautiful to see in pictures, but to actually live through it, is a whole different story. If they mention of freezing rain, or an ice storm here, people freak out like it's a Hurricane, and for good reason. One good thing about a Hurricane, they usually come in the Summer, which don't get me wrong, makes for some miserable and sweaty bottoms. Problem is, you freeze to death much faster than you'll die of heat exhaustion(or so I think,I'm no Doc). Then again, when i think of it, I guess they both are very tragic situations, neither of which I'd wish on my worst enemy!

;D mrseek1234. i am just in love with canada. wonder how the medical care is up there. its like an adventure. just hope property sells soon. i am so ready to go. FREE HEALTH CARE IF YOU ARE A PERMANENT RESIDENT(well sorta) It's paid for in your taxes. The service is great, when we had our daughter 2 weeks ago, we had the best nurses I have ever met in my life! We have had a nurse to come by our home everyday to change my wifes dressings(due to c-section)and check on our baby. All free of charge, no worry's about medical bills, or doctor visits! For them anyway, I'm still not legal yet, but think GOD for insurance!!!

I'm trying to convince my husband to move too, Rose. I've mentioned Canada-or anywhere but here for the next 4 years-ugh!
Dew, I'm curious about the health-care, from I guess a political point of view. Is the health care system in Canada, what Obama is proposing here? If so, it might not be as bad as I thought (based on your experience). But I always had the impression that "socialized" health care was a nightmare-with decreased quality of care, long waits, trouble getting appointments, etc.

wow mrseek1234, you to. that would be neat. your husband could work for the royal canadian patrol. you could join me and barefootangel on the beach looking for clams and watching whales. if you look at the real estate it is a lot more reasonable to me. i have noticed the property taxes are a little, well a lot higher in some places but hey at least you are paying for health care and not a stadium.
